Gotta pace myself. I don’t have a set approach to painting…I am constantly trying new materials, new ideas, new ways of starting. So it’s a brand new creative process each day. Which is tiring!
I started the day with a beach meditation and it served as inspiration for my first image of the day. I created a modeling paste background on the primed board and let it dry while I did a Thai massage in the afternoon.
When I came back to it for about an hour in the late afternoon, I was stiff, trying a little too hard.
So before taking a break, I got out a new piece of paper and wiped off the excess modeling paste and paint in quick strokes:
I went for a bike ride and made dinner, ready to approach it fresh. A little better feeling this time.
I moved on to my other idea for the day, “Eucalyptus Walk”, which is now drying overnight along with a background for tomorrow. And now its time for bed!
Wow. Almost too much to comment.
External needs – the peaceful ocean beach – providing all.
Hyper-purple. The real Lisa.
Hollow tree forest. Forest tree hollow.
