Time for a dinner break. Not sure if I’ll work more tonight or not. I puttered around with these for a couple of hours this afternoon. “Om” is the first piece created directly on the MDF board. And I just looked….after all the turning I did when creating the background, I forgot to check the orientation of the pre-drilled hole on the back of the board for hanging. Yup. It’s on the bottom, instead of the top. I still have a huge smile on my face after Day One!
New technique I learned: image transfer using acrylic gel medium! I took fragments of pages from a Hindu printed booklet of the Bhagavad Gita for both “Buddha Boy” and “Om”.
